You can definitely swap the strap on this and any other Seiko 5 Sports! In the past, I've purchased from CNS watch bands as they're quite affordable and regularly have sales, but there are a TON of sites out there where you can buy straps, and even more sellers on eBay: ebay.us/c3Ncow. The strap size for this watch is 22mm, so just look for that when buying. Rafael

I'd plug it in and leave a hygrometer in there for a couple of hours without cigars. See what the RH is inside and then if too low, throw in the 84% packs for a few days as you state. However, using the 84% packs shouldn't be necessary. Rafael

@@Bespokeunit Not in the least! They took away the screw down crown, the ISO Certification, and all of the charm of the 7S26 movement and replaced them with what exactly?? What is so appealing about hand winding aside from just one more thing that can go wrong and need servicing? And they fancied up the dial for what purpose?? Answer: To make it a fashion watch. Then they have the gaul to charge more money for it? For a lesser watch?? Nothing good about that!

The taste can certainly be affected by humidity. Often, when cigars are too humid, they can cause "bite" on the tongue when smoking them

From my experience, I'd say it wears larger than most 40mm, but I suppose this depends on what you're used to wearing.

The light on this one is actually better than others in this price range, though as you mention, it would certainly be improved if there were more lights down the sides as opposed to just a single one at the top. Rafael

This specific model is discontinued but Rolex does have a Batman that they still sell. Getting it is another story, as most Authorized dealers have waiting lists. Rafael

Hey there. I don't believe it's possible to swap the black plastic shield. ST Dupont has service center where they repair/deal with warranty fixes, but I doubt they'd accommodate this kind of request. I'm guessing they'd prefer you buy a brand new one if you're looking for a different color/new shield. Rafael

Hey there, Have you checked out the images in my individual review? bespokeunit.com/articles/watches/seiko-5-sports-srpd53-5kx-pepsi/ I think they provide a good idea of what the dial looks like in person. If I had to describe it, it's sort of an iridescent blue with a nice sunray texture. Personally, I think it's quite attractive and elegant - hardly childish. It's a bit more casual given the two-tone bezel, but not childish given the steel case and full steel bracelet. As a first mechanical watch, I think any of the Seiko 5 Sports watches (including this one) are an excellent option. Rafael

@@Bespokeunit oh wow really appreciate your time replying to comments on a year old video! :) to be fair childish was probably the wrong word. At first the colors reminded me of a watch my parents used to buy me as a child. Just trying to think about how easy it is to fit it into my wardrobe compared to the SBSA005, which can be worn to really anything.

@@r0bs1904 Given that the SBSA005 is just black on steel, it will definitely "fit" with more outfits, but to me it's almost too neutral. The Pepsi tones give a bit of personality and playfulness to your wrist. Ultimately, it'll be a personal choice! I recommend either one. Rafael

Ziploc bag will be fine but a Boveda or Integra Boost Bag zip bag is better. Regardless of the bag you store the cigars in during seasoning, make sure to throw some humidity packs in there with the cigars. Rafael

What do you mean by fast? After one day, if there are no cigars in the humidor, then the RH displayed by your hygrometer should definitely have increased. Just in case, give it a couple days and see if it changes. Are you using a digital or analog hygro? Rafael
